Exchange of documents during MoU signing ceremony
Malaysian Institute of Property and Facility Managers (MIPFM) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) at Hilton Petaling Jaya on 19 August to pave the way for them to collaborate as strategic partners to support the continuing education of built environment practitioners in Malaysia.
These two professional bodies will also be jointly developing and offering relevant seminars or talks to help raise the industry’s standards.
The MoU’s two signatories were MIPFM president Sr Haji Adzman Shah Mohd Ariffin and RICS Head of Singapore, Southeast Asia, Marcus Lim, who sees the MoU as setting the stage for the two parties to facilitate more exchanges and explore possible topics that they could cooperate on.
They include property management, facility management, strategic management, retail leasing and tenant management.
“We are in talks to develop joint activities and look forward to the prospects of further developing our partnership,” Lim added.
